Few years back, Khaitan launched an ad campaign wherein Mr Khaitan lauded the product quality and said " A product so reliable that I have given my name to it". I believe after launching this range of products one of them should change the name.
Going with earlier reputation of Khaitan, I chose this product over other manufacturers, I believed they would have manufactured the components in India and they will be more reliable compared to Chinese. An as I saw the product only on-line, I had little to compare with.
Seeing the delivered product all my expectations were proven wrong, consider this for experience
Plastic molding is of poor quality and finish, there are sharp edges on body
Water inlet is poorly designed, it is difficult to open the inlet as it had no grip.causes spillage
Water level indicator was not working and its sticker is wrongly printed (mirrored - says XAM instead of MAX and likewise) and manufacturer didn't bother - says a lot about attitude.
32 ft air throw is misnomer, at highest fan speed you have to hold a paper in hand after 10 ft to feel the air.
Horizontal louvres are too tight and snap out of position often
air throw is highly directional, if you switch swing on. you will sweat till air reaches you. one needs to sit right in front within 10 ft to feel the effect of cooling and if you do so - your clothes will be spoiled - read on
water dispension is bad, the honeycomb pad is totally ineffective it remains mostly dry.
cooler at max speed throws water at you staining clothes and floor as honeycomb filter colors the water yellow and cooler is badly designed (it sucks the water up)
within 24 hours, the cooler gave-up and started giving burning smell. I have packed and parked in a corner, certainly don't want to burn my house down - its a potential electrical fire and shock hazard
Certainly can be avoided unless it falls right on your head...
