I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience with Airtel Xstream Fiber has been so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it.
At the time of getting the connection, I was promised OTT subscriptions for 6 months if I opted for a 6-month broadband plan. Based on this, I went ahead and paid for the 6-month package, expecting to enjoy the full OTT benefit. However, after just one month, the OTT access stopped working. Now it asks me to pay extra to use the OTT services, which is absolutely misleading and unacceptable. I reached out multiple times through calls and emails, but no resolution has been provided from Airtel's end.
To make things worse, I was also clearly told and it's even mentioned on the Airtel Thanks app that my internet would come with unlimited bandwidth. Yet after using it for some time, the internet slowed down drastically. When I contacted customer support, they told me I had exceeded a fair usage limit and had to pay an additional ?300 to restore the speed.
Nowhere during the installation or in the app was it mentioned that my speed would drop after a certain usage. If it's not unlimited, don't advertise it as unlimited. This is straight-up false advertising.
Despite repeated calls and emails, all I got from customer care was the same scripted response:
Sir, sorry for the inconvenience, we are looking into the issue.
And that's where it ends. No follow-up. No resolution. Nothing.
Every representative just tries to convince you to recharge more instead of actually solving the problem.
Today, I finally disconnected my Airtel broadband. This connection has wasted so much of my time and energy, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Customer support is poor, the services are unreliable, and the company fails to deliver what it promises.
Airtel, if you're reading this, fix your systems and stop misleading customers.
