This is the first time I have been on a weekend holiday in Pondicherrym (Puducherry). My cousin had booked with Zest Breaks (through Club Mahindra Holidays).
We weren't travelling in the night, so we missed the night and reached there the next morning. We were explained the route.
That we have to cross MG Medical College and travel about 3 kms to reach Manatur and there would be it, on the road. It took us one hour and frantic calling to Zest personnel in "Big Beach" resort to finally understand that the board is not by zest.
But by the government which would say Manatur. The best part was When we asked for directions to a tender coconut vendor, he asked us "Mahindra?. Ok go one km from here through this road, take a left travel one more km, there you would find the board". To our surprise, it was absolutely exact.
But again the board was facing the other side. We finally made it to the place through the mud roads. But it was worth the pain. Beautifully located on the beach with deep blue sea seen through from the gate. Large property (heard its around 30 acres) within some 500 m from thebeautiful Bay of Bengal.
We were greeted by the staff and they gave us a welcome drink. And they had "buggies" to carry the luggage to the rooms which we situated in some distance. A specific staff was very reluctant to offer the buggie to us and insisted that we walk on foot. After a long arguement, we were taken in the buggie.
