It's been some time Yo China outlet opened in (RANJIT AVENUE), AMRITSAR..As have tried Yo food in other outlets I was happy to have a outlet in my city. Saw some new Mocktails, ...tried GREEN APPLE/PINEAPPLE MOCKTAIL AND MY FRIEND TRIED BLUE PEACH .....
It was really awful....blue peach taste like the sweet red color medicine we had in childhood yakks.....But chicken satte was a unique presentation on sticks roasted..it was good to try. Also Fried rice and veg Manchurian were hot and tasty.
But the real shocker came when I saw the food bill...As per the menu card "MINERAL WATER" is to be charged as per M.R.P. But I was charged Rs20 for the "SMALLER" KINLEY WATER BOTTLE...WHICH HAD PRINTED M.R.P of Rs 08 only...
My friend asked me to let go...but to my habit and thinking about my father hard earned money( I will also earn sumday hopefully hehehe)...coming back to it..
I called the waiter...and asked about it... he told me that it was VAT charges...to which I showed the VAT ON TOTAL BILL...and asked if I were to be doubly VAT on water...
He called his superior...who again tried to justified....But I showed him his own menu and M.R.P printed on KINLEY BOTTLES...
HE HAD NO ANSWER.....AND I GOT Rs 10 back...yipiee......
I thought of informing others as well....But since the employee told me that he would replace the bottles with bigger sized one ...I decided to let go at the time giving the managemnt benifit of doubt....
But I doubt if that was not deliberate.....RATHER WAS A CHEATING..AS MOST PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR REPUTATION... WOULD NOT HAVE ASKED THIS QUESTION AND GIVEN MORE MONEY...
ABOUT Rs 15 MORE?(3.62 ON VAT AND SURCHARGE...Rs 12 EXTRA ON M.R.P ITSELF)
STRANGE WHY PEOPLE DONT ASK QUESTIONS....AND LET THIS GO...
Just a rough total, what managemnt would have made in 6 months even if only 20 customers are entertained / day:
Rs 15 x 20 customers/day= 300 rupees/day
300 x 30 days =Rs 9000/month
9000 x 6 months = Rs 54000 (made illegaly).......wow..and no one questioned????
NOTE: AS ON MARCH'2011 , Am pleased to tell that I visited Yo china again and the small mineral water bottles have been replaced by 1ltr bottles.
But food still was bad:(
