What a remarkable experience it is to possess a bike which you have always dream of! And yes, it was a always a Yezdi on my priority list, and no other ultra mordern bike would do for me.(need to have the money though to buy one of them!). Well jokes apart. My passion for bikes started during my school days when my father used to ride a yezdi. I was in my 1st standard then. Since he worked for the marketing department for a heavy machine manufacturing company, he was provided with a company maintained bike.(so free fuel!). When I was in my second standard he bought a Royal enfield and had it for another 9 years.

It so happened that one of friends brother bought a classic and got it completely restored at his premises and that is when I was serious of buying one. However it was only when I was in my PG that I pestered my father to  buy one for me. Since he too was fond of bikes, he did buy me one but was too hesitant as the fuel prices had gone up and I was not earning any.  Well, finally I was a proud owner of a well maintained black 1988 classic.

My journey started with a line of problems with it. Reason - did not know a good mechanic! After being ditched several times by the local mechanic, I finally ended up at the most genuine mechanic in Hyderabad, Balraj and his son Raju(B&R). And thing changed drastically. I started to know the real pleasure of a riding a properly tuned classic. In an year I was working and I laid my eyes on an a Silver 1995 CDI Yezdi Road king. I bought it for 10 K  with 33K genuine KMS on the odometer. I got all the chorme parts rechormed again and a set of brand new Ceat sports tyres. And wow! here I had one of the best looking bikes. Since then there was no looking back.

I have been on several long trips(solo) as I had a lot a confidence in the bike and the work done by the father and son duo(B&R). I have recently got the bike on Points for better pickup and sound note. I have never ever come across any problem as such till date since i bought my YRK  in 2003. I also own an RD 350, A BSA 350 and an Enfield Fury 175.(Fury up for sale), but nothing close to my heart than the YRK.
