Fall in love with this bike when in my school days. The bikes all metal work and the sound was amazing .Used to wonder when would get one. When my Dad agreed to buy a two wheeler for me and my brother I vouched the Yezdi and my brother a splendor and finaly we brought a splendor in 96.Yezdi stopped its production somewhere in 97 and I started looking out for second hand but could not set my hands on a right either the vehicles condition was not good or the some problems with registration papers.
Finally I laid my hands on a second hand black YRK 1994 CDI ignition in good condition ( 22 K quite costly ) and complete papers in 1998 and till date using the vehicle.
The charm did not end here and and a purchased a 1981 Maroon coloured YRK with points. Both the vehicles are maintained in good condition and I use them on alternate days travelling to office and often on long rides.
The YRK the key diffrentiator for you when on the road , you cannot stop smiling when other bikers stop and watch you at signals with admiration ( Oh this lad has a yezdi and still drives it).May be the other way arround for tech savvy ...balls to them .....
Well I cant drive any other bike as to YRK, the thump it offers the sturdiness , the reliability and the divine love for the bike .
I have driven the YRK every where on road, no road, in potholes , water clogged roads , long patches , trials, villages national highways, sand maybe some day get a chance to drive on runway for a final take off on my YRK... hahaha
I am sure these bikes would soon be classics , but I have met a lot of die hard yezdi lovers and I am sure the species wont be extinct oh yes there is a Jawa Club too.......Cheers.
The forever bike remains forever me and the die hards.
