Hair Raising performance with good handiling. Review on Yezdi 350 Twin

Jawa350cc Twin cylinder, which is owned by my father in1986.it was in garage for long time while I was trying some other bikes like the legendary RD 350, RX-135 Tiger, suzuki shogun...all of these bikes r superb.but I was not reallising the performance of the gr8 jawa 350.once I have gone through an exhibition and came across with jawa 350, which I finally realised to get my bike from garage.

its performance is amazing that it really pushes on its 1st and 2nd like RD 350 does.0-60kmph in just 3.2sec.the bike touches 85kmph in  its 2nd gear and to a top of 140kmph in its 4th gear.

Jawa 350 really sounds like a RD350.it has got a single jicov carb which feeds both the twin cylinders equally.of course this bike can offer a challenge to RD350 LOW TORQUE in its first few km ie up 120km jawa 350 stays ahead and after that RD350 takes it off due its lower gear ratio.the jawa350 touches  100kmph in 4000 rpm where as rd 350 low torque makes it at its 6000 rpm&above that the power to weight ratio of jawa 350 is low when compared to Rd350.

Jawa350 is actually a performance based cruiser, which means it can go to both extremes high revs and low revs.it has got a nice seating for a comfortable riding at a high speed.though im not impressed with its braking though it has got a big drum in front.and most dissapointing thing is about its battery discharge due to the POINT system. This bike is drinking the battery&has got a poor wiring sys.

And to those friends planning to take an jawa350, the only sad thing waiting you is the lack of availability of its spare parts.though its not readily available u can still make its parts in lythe(Fabricating workshops) by giving its orginal dimensions of (speedo, tacho-meter case), (mud guards), (pistons), (silencers).coz i've made all these.

any way I hope to replace it by CDI, and beyond that this is the exact bike I was looking for coz it has got style, amazing perfor, and a superb handiling.
