Wanted to open an SA(Joint Account) with Yes Bank due to the higher interest rate on savings account. I went to the bank on 28/10/17, was informed that CRM will visit our home do the needful. Mailed the required doc. as asked to Ms. Hima on 31/10/17 but she never turned out to collect the documents. After a lot of follow-ups with the branch, Mr. Navatejya came to collect the document on 4/11/2017.
Days went on, 8/11/17 called Mr. Nava to check the proceeding, by this time it was already 11days. When called he tells me that by mistake he has given us 2 kits as we wanted to open a joint account and we need to return one kit. So on the 9th morning, he comes to collect the kit and confirms us that our account will be opened in 3 to 4 days. on 13/11/17 when I again msged. him to find out what is the status he then calls me back and tells me that he has misplaced an application and I need to sign it again. so he comes and gets it done on 14/11/17. Again he disappeared for few days. On 17th when I called him he didn't receive the call so I called the branch manager Mr. Sharma. He promised to get back and he does get back and confirms that our account will surely be opened by that day or by next for sure. But as the expected account was not opened until 18/11/17 working hours. So on 20/11/2017, we made a stop payment on the cheque we handed over to them. Now when my conversation was with Mr. Sarma, out of the blue on 20/11/17 the asked me if my husband was an existing custome of Yes Bank. I said yes and now the tell me that we didnt disclosed it earlier so our account opening form was rejected by the head office. My only question to his is
why the same was not confirmed on the day when Mr. Nava CRM came to collect the documents and get the form signed.
Why was the PAN card collected? Thes same could have been tracked earlier by the PAN No.
Now the best part was my conversation with the Manager Mr. Sharma.
Attached are few snapshot of our conversation. Now he Blames us for everything which was but expected from him.
But till 20/11/2017 our account was not opened.
I sincerely don't recommend this bank to anyone.
