A couple of weeks back my MIL was not well due to severe cough and chest pain.


We took her to Apollo in Belandur and after initial examination they recommended her to be immediately admitted and since their main hospital was very far so they recommended Yeshomati Hospital which is nearby in Marathalli.. Being relatively new in Bangalore and also had never heard of that hospital, so with little hesitance, we took her there and entered directly from the Emergency.


To my little surprise, the Security immediately came to us and asked if the patient needs the wheel chair, When we went inside, the doctor immediately attended and showed her the bed to rest. We provided the summary report from Apollo and based on that the doctor put her right away on oxygen which was coming down to 55% (supposed to be 100%).


After a couple of hours, when her condition was stabilized in emergency, she was to be shifted to MICU then these people started arranging the shifting process and asked me to complete the formalities for insurance etc.. while I was completing the formalities, my MIL was already shifted in MICU, I was surprised to see they didn't wait for the advance money that I was supposed to pay for initial process. By the time, I came back, she was already in MICU. My MIL's ID card was missing that I gave next day.


(one can argue, they know who can pay or not.. but I had heard of many cases where hospitals don't touch/attend the patient until the money part is settled).


Everyone in their staff, including, Security, nurses, doctors were nice and courteous during the MICU and ward stay.. The service over there was comparable with the best service you would have got outside the country.


Every day they have a process, where one person (probably from admin dept) asks for the feedback for the improvement. My BIL had provided them feedback on daily basis for small things whatever he could think of and while discharging I also provided them the feedback.


Their test report system is very slow- the doctors there also mentioned that even they are fighting to improve that part with their management because they have to wait for the reports before starting any treatment.  Their discharge process took more than 3-4 hours in our case which could be improved definitely..


My BIL arranged one doctor for the second opinion and that doctor wanted to talk to emergency staff to know what's going on- and the doctor in Yeshomati didn't hesitate to talk to him and explained the situation so we were also confident that the treatment/tests given to her was on track. The doctor in emergency even told us after 3-4 days that "though I was so busy on first day due to couple of other emergency cases but you guys were so nervous that I couldn't resist to talk to your doctor when you requested me".


Overall, I was happy with the treatment and services over there so thought of sharing our experience with you all.


God forbidden if someone needs, can think about this hospital which is not very far also.


Directions to hospital (total 4 KMs from SLS Sunflower):


From Panathur, take right on ORR towards Marathalli


Take right on Marathalli Bridge towards kundanhalli gate (because of constructions on service road, we had to go straight, take U turn then take left turn towards kundanhalli gate)


After about 2 KMs- right before McDonald/3M, the hospital is located on your right so you will have to take left turn to come on that side.
