Sunday midnight, hopelessly weak with dehydration due to nearly 9 times vomiting, I resorted to Yashomati Hospital and the emergency doctor refused to give me glucose or any medication until I got admitted in the hospital.

Without a choice, I got admitted and was asked to pay a deposit of 25, 000/- just for glucose and antibiotics IV. I have IV done many times before in OPD itself and spent just 1000 Rs but this doctor got me admitted and within my hearing range called up another doctor and said, "I have a case here, lady patient, got admitted for mild dehydration, I have given her stool test, 5-6 variety of blood test, abdomen scan. Have I missed out any other test?" I was utterly shocked, the doctor himself it was a mild dehydration and getting back to form would have taken him only an hour. But, he decided to swindle money out of me. Next day morning, another doctor came up and ordered sugar test and thyroid test. I argued that blood reports clearly indicates gastreoentrisys, then, why Sugar test etc. His reply was since you have a family history, it is good to test it and walked away. Through my left hand, they were giving me glucose and from my right hand they took blood for testing sugar(obviously fasting sugar was high). I got a doubt whether he is a doctor or a quack. After two bottles of glucose and some antibiotics through IV, I was normal but they refused to discharge me at the pretext of keeping me under observation and forced me to stay for two days. When I got discharged, I had not even received my stool test report which obviously doctor didnt even bother to see the report. The radiologist spend just 30 secs to do my abdomen scan and quite surprising it showed everything to be normal while I am actually on treatment with another doctor for something which should have ideally showed up in the scan.

They were adamant that they wouldnt give me any oral medicine and whatever they had to give me would be through injection. One of the caring nurses gave me one inch of blood clot while injecting some antibiotics.

Finally when I got discharged, I had paid Rs 18, 000/- for just two bottles of glucose and two antibiotics.

It is a very bad hospital. Doctors there dont treat you like human / patients, they treat you like rat / rabbit to experiment and swindle money out of you.

I suggest, please keep away from that hospital for your own safety. You might have TB and they might be treating you for Cancer.
