I am thrilled like you all about these Yamaha twins - specially the YS250 Fazer has caught my heart.Thats what I call a perfect bike ! Who says its not good looking ? The looks are timeless.Great
finish as seen on http://spaces.msn.com/taunk.I prefer my bike to look like a bike - not like some alien craft or some ugly Hunchback of Notre Dame.Thats for crazy kids grown on TV shows of WWF Wrestling / Star Wars / Superbike racing etc.I love smooth, noiseless and powerful bikes. And I like to ride them smoooothly.
Just checked the specs of the YS250Faz at http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorbikes/9808-fazer-250-a.html and at http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/yamaha/yamaha_ys250_fazer.htm.They agree except on the dry weight. Is it 134 or 153 kgs ? Also I couldnt find mileage figures. Can anyone suggest ?
It is a sign of maturity on the part of Bajaj Auto that they have discarded the structure of their highly successful Pulsars in the new 250cc.Every manufacturer goes thru a learning phase before maturing.Perhaps they have realized that how lucky they were that the urban youth found their Pulsars irresistible. However when pitted against the Yamaha giants,I think Bajaj has to work double time on their gear,clutch,weight-distribution,etc to be able to hold fort. The best things about the Pulsar were high torque at low RPMs(Exhaust Tec?) and fuel economy.
I wonder why is Suzuki lagging behind ? Long live open market economy ! Long live competition among multi-nationals.I know it is difficult in this terrorism affected country...but cant we have the fire-arm makers open shop here? Think what...if the Berettas, Smith&Wessons, Rugers, Weatherbys and Brownings compete in India ! I was a gun-enthusiast even before I became a bike fan.
