I think no other motorcycle launch had created such a hype in India that the R15 had created. Hence I prefer to call the R15 "revolution 15". A motorcycle so iconic that it changed the shape of the beginner sportsbike segment in India. Now I am crazy fan of this amazing motorcycle, which is why I have currently own the R15 V1.0(2008 model) and the R15 V2.0(2012 model) and I am never getting rid of them even if I plan to move to a higher capacity motorcycle.

Everything about this motorcycle has been done well, or as I like saying "engineered well". The 150cc bike comes with technology which at the time of its launch was unheard of in a place like India. The bike is having a decent power, the engine is refined, smooth, and extremely reliable and it is light, which makes it amazing to handle. Now, if you are adjusted to the sitting posture on most bikes in the market, you will feel uncomfortable on this bike, with your wrist paining if you travel long distances. The road grip is excellent. I mean the bike is built for the track, so road grip is not even a concern. The bike looks like its elder brother the R6 and you will love it it you like fully faired motorcycles.

The only concern with the R15 now is that, it has now become an old motorcycle for its time, with the beginner sportsbike market starting to flood with more motorcyles which offer superior performance at a price in some cases cheaper than the R15.

But, if you love sportsbikes, this bike will still make you feel like Valentino Rossi.
