I got my Orange Fz on 18th October that's Sunday evening which I had booked on 21 September With Full Cash Payment and I have already completed around 120 km.

The first thing I did is I wanted to check the fuel efficiency the dealer filled 1 liter normal fuel and I then filled

1 liter more and the bike  ran for 51 km in the city, that is its giving me 25 to 26 kmpl probably that may be because I haven't got it serviced yet, I confirmed the same with the dealer and the same guy who was boasting of a millage of 50kmpl said it will give me 25kmpl until I get it serviced 3 to 4 times and then it will give 35kmpl, and I knew this as looking at the rear tire of fz16 no one can expect to give milage above 40. So after 2 to 3 servicing I expect it to return at least 35 kmpl.

And talking about the LOOKS every one on the roads are just keep on staring at it.. one of the guy in my college sat on my bike and asked his friends to click pictures of him.. this is the craze of FZ16..

The logo of  Yamaha above the tail light looks classy..it glows in night because of the tail light.

The Plastic covering on the tank and the rear tire gives it a genuine masculine look.

I wanted to replace the headlight with xenon but as FZ16 does not have a kick start and its battery would get down soon.

The horn is an embarrassment to FZ16, I feel ashamed to blow the horn thinking of replacing it very soon.

And now if I talk about RIDING one word “Awsome

The central mass gives u the confidence with the long handle bar giving u the control of the bike like never before and the wide tubeless rear tire gives u an awsome grip on the road..

The Head light is very powerful.

The gears are incredibly smooth and there is no problem of false neutral.

The pulling power is bind blowing, accidentally I did a wheely not much but just a little, Yamaha has achieved this because of the the bikes weight to torque balance its just incredible.

One thing I love is cornering and FZ16 Is incredible while cornering.

The Foot pegs are placed perfectly to give a very comfortable Position for riding

I am Very happy with the seat it brings closeness between me and my girl sitting behind me :-).

There is no leg guard which eliminates the genuine tag of commuter bike.

Removing sari guard will also add to its looks, which I am going to do.

The thing I am facing problem with is the front no. plate, it does not look good above the headlight and my last option would be a sticker on the Mud guard.

Also the tachometer its very compact I would hav loved to see the RPM Needel insted of it being digital too.

There is no leg guard and the tank covering is of Plastic, So if u fell down, shell out 2500/- to get it replaced.

Also the Millage of the bike is concerning me,  Riding this bike neatly wud give me a milage of 35 to 40kmpl, and this bike is not ment to rided neatly.

So if you have a heavy pocket then please go ahead.. This is a gem of a Bike.

Every motorbike lover will like to own a bike from the Yamaha’s

portfolio! They are definitely not the economy models that,

otherwise, the India motorcycle market has, but they certainly display

amazing power and engine performance. It’s but unfortunate that the

Bajajs and the Hero Hondas threw Yamaha out of gear during the last the

decade just for the obvious price reason.

And, Yamaha these days is revamping its efforts to dig out its buried

image, with their latest releases, the Yamaha R 15 and Yamaha FZ16

world-class bikes.

Thanks,

Shoeb Bojgar
