I have tried Yahoo! Personals and one or two other internet dating websites with a consistent success rate; one that hovers exactly on the zero percent marker.

The dating websites in themselves
are well run, well secured, and potentially loads of fun and chatting. Of course a membership is unavoidable so there is a system in place whereby one purchases tokens and spends them on online time and other services. So, for having lots of fun and passing the time an internet dating service like Yahoo! Personals is a great toy to have around. A great toy.

A toy in that when I am done playing Yahoo! Personals I can switch it off and the whole game disappears; gone. Kind of the ultimate adult super-cyber toy that one has with all the other X-Station-like toys.

If one uses Yahoo! Personals as a means to a more serious end, such as finding one’s permanent spouse, this here little online toy becomes the tool of all tools if used wisely and, a definite and here, and one runs into a little luck. So if one knows exactly, precisely, what one is willing to settle for in a potential mate, and here, again, is the and, and that person just happens to sign onto the same dating service, and both of place a profile that you both read, and everything you both read is perfect, and before you both meet you both know deep down that this is it you have both found a mate for life ............

You know, I think one would have just as much luck by popping into the local pub for a pint twice a week including Saturday night. At least there you both can chance-meet and immediately size each other up. Sure, the chances of bumping into one’s permanent mate at a live meeting establishment are somewhat on the slim side, but at least you both get to size up live people.

One can’t do that with Yahoo! Personals.
Cheers.
