Dearest Yahoo Messenger,
You are doing a very noble deed of carrying out the messages of so many people and conveying them to their near and dear ones! But I sometimes wonder, does anyone have
time to message you? You deliver millions of messages daily, and seeing so many of them you too would be feeling hurt sometimes that not even a single one is for you! So today I decided that enough is enough. If no one else is willing to do it, I will! Yes, I will message you. I’ll write for you an open letter, which won’t be read just by you but many others also who may/may not be using your services regularly!
Lets start with your good qualities. So that those who aren’t using you yet start doing it soon! Firstly, you are very easy to use, thus no one needs the brains of a software engineer to work on you! And yet if someone finds any difficulty you are always ready to
Help them out!
Secondly, you help us stay in touch with our friends and relatives even if they are miles away from us! If we try to stay in contact with them through letters it’s going to take ages! And if we rely on the telephone it will prove to be very heavy on our pockets. Thus, you are the only remedy for all such problems!
Efficient and economical is what you are!Thirdly, you aren’t just an ordinary online messenger!
Other than the basic facility of messaging you also provide many other features to the users like Radio, Games, Stock Information, Weather News, Calendar, Chat and SMS! Not just this, if our friends aren’t online, no need to go through the monotonous task of e-mailing them. We can always send them offline messages provided we are using you and not some of your highly over-hyped counterparts!
And lastly, but far from the least, you have given my dull life a reason to live! You helped me discover true love, which is so difficult to find these days! I still remember that hot night of June when I logged on to you and went to a chat room. I was searching for someone nice to chat but couldn’t find anyone of my liking! Then entered not only in the room but also in my life an angel like figure
Pari (my girlfriend).
The time was about 11 PM. Pari hardly goes into a chat room, but even she doesn’t know what made her do so that very night, that very time and in that very room where I was present! And there too out of all the people she chose to reply to just me! Later she told me that she doesn’t reply to anyone and mostly ignores people. But even she didn’t know what made her reply to me! Even today when we discuss about that night we are pleasantly surprised by how we both were able to unite against all odds and thank our stars for this favour! We both satisfy ourselves with the answer that when love is true it does find a way!
Thus, Mr. Yahoo Messenger now you can easily see how important and valuable you have been to me! And that’s why
I recommend you to all those who still are ignorant about your sanctimonious presence! Who knows maybe their love is just a click away!
Keep up the good work Mr. Yahoo and thanks again.
Yours Truly,
Tanmay.
P.S. I would like to dedicate this review to my girlfriend and also reveal her real name. Her name is Aashima and I like to call her Pari since she has been like an angel to me!
A message for Aashima I love you Aashima! I always used to wait for that angel to come in my life till I finally met you. And would like to end this review with one such poem which I had written when I hadn’t found my angel (you of course)!
Unknown AngelI don’t have a hint about you.
I don’t know who you are.
I haven’t got a sight of you.
I haven’t heard a word from your mouth.
I don’t even know whether you exist or not.
All just I want to say is that:
Each and every place, on which you are going to put your foot, is going to be more sacred than heaven!
All the places, which would be seen by your eyes, would be more beautiful than Taj Mahal!
Everything I do is just for you.
You are the owner of my each and every breath.
Just come to me once. Oh! My Unknown Angel!
And make my life happier, forever and ever and ever! My this wish is fulfilled now, thanks to you and not to forget Mr. Yahoo Messenger, who played a very essential role in uniting us! © Tanmay Singh, 2004
