Yahoo was a search engine and a portal to begin with and today, it has diversified into various new offers for the eager customers. Yahoo mail is certainly better than other mail services like Rediff or
Sify.com. It works very fast and offers lots of animations in the latest version.
Other mail sites either do not get loaded fully or do not get loaded fast. Yahoo is better that way. It even offers greetings and a bunch of services.
They are charging people for better mailbox services, but not for those who opt for the free one. The search engines at Yahoo are equally good. I found many links I did not with other sites or search engines. Yahoo mail is really speedy and most of my friends got their mails very fast. The latest support it offers to its customers is the stamp that helps prevent password thefts and a mail search facility within the mailbox,a notepad [as usual] and much more.

The newer version of the Yahoo Mail is the Yahoo Beta and it offers instant access to emails at a single view, quick deletion of unwanted mails, etc. However, the start page seems to take a lot of time to load. It is, however, easier to attach files quickly. Yahoo has come up now with the latest versions of the messenger and much more. There are also paid email facilities, which have a little more to offer than the free email addresses [I have not yet tried it, however.] Yahoo Mail comes with advanced virus protection and it had recently won the "Best Web Mail 2007" award from PC World, a popular magazine about the internet and computer. One would notice that Yahoo has animated it’s logo on the homepage [just as google does.] Yahoo mail can now also be checked on the mobile phone and that is the latest offering from the Yahoo bandwagon.

It supports good animations and makes mailing very interesting. In fact, now they have increased the free mailbox service quota to 1 GB and the looks of the new mailbox and the colors are not only different, but they could also be changed by the user. It has lovelier services now like adding emoticons to mails, that make the mails look more interactive, but the problem is that some receiving mailboxes do not support animations and therefore, may not be able to enjoy it. Yahoo mails can be given various colors, formatted, and so on.

FOUNDERS OF YAHOO

Jerry Yang and another guy from the USA. Both of them were room-mates, but they came up with this great idea that just changed the way the world sent emails.

With newer facilities popping up, Yahoo is the online home to millions of users now.
Keep it up YAHOO!

Pros:
Speedy, Cool
Cons:
The latest version takes more time to get loaded.
