The book is based on the children but I must say that the book is not only to be read by kids but it must be read by youngsters and all age persons because the book explains such things which are helpful and guideworthy to all. It tells about the chemical composition of sea water, the sea as a source of energy and how it is being used for the service of mankind.
The story of the sea and the life within its depths in an interesting and told in a very systematic manner. He explains the movements of the sea—waves, tides, currents, the sea-water(its colour and composition) and the life within—the water blooms, algae, sea-animals, corals, various kinds of fish and also the octopus, the whale, the otter and the dreaded shark and others. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book
