Recently I came across a book written by Lee Child , a British writer settled in the United States. My librarian recommended the book and I read it. I found it so interesting that I ended up reading all the books written by Lee Child and just today I finished reading this book “ Without Fail” which is another nice thriller. Lee Child has a unique racy style of writing that keeps one hooked, and has a knack of etching his characters very well defined. He has created a great lead character “Jack Reacher” who like James Bond, Rambo, Jack Ryan, Dirty Harry, etc. is going to be an unforgettable and popular hero.

Reacher, an ex-military cop is an intelligent, resourceful and strong, well-trained commando a-la Rambo. He is a drifter with no moorings, no base, no home, no ID, no strings, no baggage, not even a suitcase of bag to carry spare set of clothes! He moves around the country aimlessly looking for nothing in particular and manages to get himself caught in impossible situations. This time he gets enlisted secretly by the U.S. Secret Service to find out who is threatening to kill the new Vice-President elect. Then starts an interesting investigation and a chase that leads to a racy, heady climax. This is another excellent thriller for a bring weekend.
