I am using wishnet for more than 2 years. They provide below average kind of service. Their customer service representatives are the worst, they don't understand the actual problem of the customer for instance they don't understand the difference between torrent speed and direct speed. If you call them for slow speed they will then ask you what kind of speed you are getting in torrents. The main problem of wishnet is ping loss and high latency because of that we can't play online games properly. So if you want to play online games please don't go for wishnet. Another thing is that they don't resolve the problems quickly and it takes more than 6-7 days to solve a problem like ping loss. Sometimes in a month 2-3 days you will not be able to connect your internet and if you call their toll free customer care no they will say please contact your LCO we can't provide you the information. And the great LCO will say it will take some time but they will not give you any proper date. I feel wishnet is not for the people who need internet connection 24/7. The speed in wishnet fluctuates massively, sometimes you will get a good direct speed according to your tariff plan but sometimes it will be too slow that you will not be able to open google or facebook. Another thing is that if you love to use youtube then choose your tariff plan wisely. Youtube runs smoothly most of the time. You can run 1080p videos by 1 Mbps plan. Previously I had an Alliance broadband connection but by Great LCO converted the service to wishnet. What I think about wishnet is that they do not have good technical support team who can address the problems of their customers and they have monopoly market in some areas so they do not take complaints very seriously. But if you want to compare it with BSNL broadband connection then I can say that it is far far better than BSNL but in kolkata you can get better service provider. Recently they had started online payment. When I saw it on my login page I was delighted but my joy was premature because I tried numerous time to recharge my internet pack but it was not successful then I called the customer care regarding my problem. They told me we can not give you any information about online payment then I said the service was announced on wishnet login page then she put my call on hold and after few minute she said talk to my LCO then I called LCO and he said he did not know about it and advised me to call customer care. Connection wise wishnet does not provide a great speed like if you have purchased 1 mbps connection you will get max 60-70 kbps and if you call them and tell them about this problem then their great technical support team will check your pc with team viewer and then they will download a highly seeded recent file from torrent site and show you more than 2-5 MB/s speed. and finally he will say "look sir you are somehow getting more speed than your tariff" can you imagine I asked them about my direct speed problem and he showed me torrent speed which is completely different thing but if you point it that you are talking about direct speed then he will give you their famous "docket no" and after 4-5 days you will get a message in your mobile from wishnet that your problem is solved. Though in reality my problem still existed. So this is wishnet a very poor service provider who should be banned to provide this kind of service to their customers.
