Wings of Fire a great book written by Late Abul Pakir Jenulabdin Abdul kalam. This book is an auto biography of the Missile man APJ Abdul Kalam covering his earlier life and his super work in Indian space research organisation and in missile programs of India. In this book, you will read the story of a poor boy from a humble background family who went on to become a key player in the Indian space research organisation or Indian missile programs and later became the Indian president.
I loved the initial chapters of this book since wings of fire gives a vivid picture of our country during the period of 1930 to 1950s. Abdul Kalam in younger years wanted to be an air force officer. However, he could not clear the interview. I read this book and its touched my heart because the book covers a lot of "behind the scene" details and technical information about the India’s satellite and missile program. This might interesting technically inclined the readers.
