Wings of Fire, is the book in which explains the life of APJ Abdul Kalam. This book was written by two authors one was APJ Abdul Kalam himself and the second one was Arun Tiwari. This book was written by two authors one was APJ Abdul Kalam himself and the second one was Arun Tiwari.


The entire book explains the struggle of a child from Ramanathapuram and how he became a great scientist and made India have its own missile technology. What kind of challenges you faced while making India self sufficient in missile technology development and what was he is inner feeling while dealing with so many failures and so many success incidents. It also includes his childhood memories and how different people have influenced him, to shape his life great.


He also mentioned about his dream to become a pilot but he failed in that and how he has handled that situation of failure and became a great scientist in Aeronautical Development establishment. He mentioned details that, how the Indian Space Research Organisation has developed different missiles like Agni, Prithvi and Nag an anti tank missile.


The book also provides us a glimpse of the conditions prevail from 1950's to 1980's. How the government has supported the Space Research Development in India and what were the other forces which have tried to trouble our country.


Kalam has expressed his ideas very lucidly, one of the best lines which he has mentioned in his book are, he who knows others is learned, but the wise one is the one who knows himself. Learning without wisdom is of no use.


POSITIVE THINGS:




  1. Through this book one can understand that what was the condition of India during 1950 to 1980 period.




  2. The Reader will get to know how to handle the situations of failure and success carefully.




  3. To a great extent it motivates the students and youngsters to go on in their life.




  4. It teaches you what life is actually and what you have to do to make it a great one.




  5. Kalam through this book tells us that, difficulties don't come to us to destroys but to make us more powerful.




  6. It gives us the idea that what kind of communal harmony was there in India.




  7. It is a great source of inspiration.




  8. It explains us the story behind the success of Indian Space Research Organisation.




  9. Positive ideas in this book makes us positive too.






NEGATIVE POINTS:




  1. First of all, in the beginning of the story it is great to read the book, but but later on it gives us the feeling of boredom.




  2. So many scientific and technical details confuse us a lot.




  3. We can notice unnecessary drag in the story.




  4. Novel and fiction loving people may not find it that great to enjoy the book.




  5. One who want to know Kalam's principles of life may get disappointed because in this book there is a lot of Technical content rather than his principles of life.




  6. There is no mention of corruption and how to deal with it and other social issues in this book. Overall this book indicates the simplicity of Abdul Kalam and his great noble thoughts. It is a must recommended book for all the youngsters. This book acts as a great source of positivity and motivation. It helps you to know new perspective of life.
