I am based in Bangalore.
I have Whirlpool Washing m/c (Front-load, Fully-automatic, 5kg , T50 WhiteMagic) brought in 2004 for ~15, 000/-.
The m/c was working Ok-type till recently. Now I have discovered that whole of bottom plate of the m/c is rusted and the m/c is unable to balance itself.This renders the m/c useless. I launched a service req for this with the Whirlpool service center.
The service guy inspected it yesterday and he says the complete body unit has to be replaced...and to my amazement. The body unit is no longer available with WHIRLPOOL. Now, a washing m/c is not brought everyday. This was brought 5yrs back and WHIRLPOOL seems to have phased out all kind of support for this model?
What kind of a company does that? The m/c is supposed to survive for at least 10+ yrs...and now if all the service support is removed. How is the customer supposed to act?
The service-man said he cannot do anything...and i'll have to fix the problem myself...somehow....Now, how am I supposed to do that?
Firstly, I was given wrong advice during the installation itself that the whole apparatus is RUST-FREE. believing the guys advice. I didn't buy a stand and now I stand a big fool and loser that whole m/c is now useless and company is also making merry by saying that no support is available. The company is named aptly as Whirlpool. A Whirlpool sucks any object into its vortex and they as a company suck the customer's money, time and confidence, leaving them high and dry.
