I brought the above mentioned refrigerator on 1st Jan 2012. Last year in feb 2015, I lodged a complaint with the customer care about the cooling function. After 2 days the service engineer came and told me for gas refilling with a quote of Rs 2300 including the visit charges. since I found it high priced, I got the same done by known person.
This June 7th 2016, again I called the whirlpool customer care. till 9th June nobody turned up and again I called up the customer care, They said they will send the engineer tomorrow.
On 10th June, engineer visited my house and after examination, he said the compressor has to be replaced. Though it is in warranty period it will not be replaced as we had done the gas filling thru an outside vendor and quoted me Rs 8000/- for the repair.
I failed to understand after 1 1/2 year how can the compressor be mishandled by an outside vendor as I did not have any problem with the fridge till 7th June 2016.Is it just we do know the technical terms that people are taking us for granted.
