We purchased Whirlpool Purafresh Ro purifier 3 years back in Bangalore; from the day one of the purchase we are facing one or the other problem. It is a waste of money, and they have very bad service. Now we are scraping this filter out and purchasing one, of a different brand. Please don't purchase any filters of this brand. Below are the problems we faced:-


1.They don’t have experienced installation persons. The person who came for fitting the filter broke the taps internal thread, because of which internal leakage in the wall started. To fix this we had to waste lot of money and time.


2.According to their service rule each time they come for servicing they had to check the water TDS, but they never do this.


3.Once the first year is complete they will convince you to take AMC, in this you no need to pay service charges and one time replacement of the filters are free. Once you pay the money they will not give you AMC certificate. To get that you need to keep calling the service centre and the customer care. And for us they have falsely updated in their data base saying that they have already replaced all the filters under AMC. After calling and fighting with them for more than a month they corrected this. Giving the reason service centre for our area got changed, while handing over they inserted wrong record. For our area (near Hebbal Big Bazaar) till date 3 service centres has been changed. And each time they change the service centre one or the other problems we faced.


4.They will not give service on time; you upon calling several times they will not turn up. The reason of excuse as follows, the engineer is not well! They don't have the parts, please call us in another week. Which has gone for more than six month and our filter stopped working because of blockage in the inlet pipe. Finally we our self cleaned the pipe to get the water! Then what is the need of these guy's service?


5.Be careful the service guys will break the parts and say it’s more than 2 years, it is time to replace the whole filter itself. I will get you discount on new Whirlpool filter. That is around 2000 Rs. I have provided the new filters to other customers with discount; you will make sure that you will also get the discount. Come on! We have not purchased this filter just to use for 2-3 years at least it should come for 8-10  years with timely filter replacement.


6.This time we lost our patience and hopes from this filter. The service persons will not check the actual problem, if you say its slow they just replace the filter and say its done, they will not wait to check if its working fine or not. Then you need to call those guys for repair once again.  The person came for repair broke the Flow level controller and he is saying its not come under AMC we need to pay 1500 rs if we want the new flow level controller. When we insisted him since he had broken this all the responsibility of correcting it he has to take. Then that person has not turned up, and service centre persons are also not responding. They say they will send the person and nobody will turn up. Within one month of replacing all the filters, its once again slowed down to fill 8 ltr of water it takes more than 15 hrs. This time person broke the internal joining tube and the internal leakage has started. Main joke is they are saying that part is not available; this small leakage should not be any issue. I feel they do it purposefully so you purchase a new filter from them.


We just want to get rid of this headache, that’s why we are purchasing a new purifier, and we are getting nearly 5.5 k replacement amount. Please don't repeat the mistake what we did. I don't suggest this product for purchase.
