What The Body Remembers Is one of the best story written by Shaunaa Singh Baldwin.the story is base on 1947 partition.
in this story two women marry with same man.the one is young girl Roop who marry with Sikh landowner and she became the second wife of Sikh.the first wife of Sardarji Satya has failed to give him children.
Roop believe that she and Satya both feel same condition so they can become a good friends but in between there are so much age gap so many complication in their relations.
even the story shows the struggles when Muslims fight with Sikhs and Hindus and also shows the difference between traditional culture and modern expectations.
The story is very interesting as well as sad also because both Roop and Satya have different thinking and all time they fight with their mind also because of situations.
The Novel story is very good I read it 2-3 time.
