bought voltas thnking it would be made by india’s largest company tata so would offer good wuality sevice if something goes wrong.

Voltas does not take careof the after sales, i came to know this when it stopped working after one month itself . The dealer made me run like its common after him and that too n peak summer. the machine just concked off when we had a electric outage and then the electricity came on again, it seems there is no safety feature to prevent this. I came to know that the parts were not avaialble with the dealer and it would take one week to bring them from voltas. that a long time considering that its the capital city.

The emphasis was more on sales than support after it. The dealers do not provide any complaint no. so there is nointeraction between the comapny and dealers . the call center people are there to tell you the address of the dealers so not much use.

in the first three months, I had to call the dealer twice and it took an average on one week fo them to return the machine back.

One more thing, it makes lot of noise and produces lot of water so if you stil want to go in for it let me tel you that the electrolux machine was cheaper and my neighbour is happy that she went in for that.

I am surprised to see the attitude these dealers show when you ask them for service. The call center folks also had an attitude. I thought they were working for a govt. organisation when my call wasnt answered inteh first place and then we had to tel them that there are old people in my home suffering in the delhi heat. They thought we were just acting pricey and refused to call the dealer and left us to our own devices.
