I took a postpaid Hutch connection in Bangalore. In the first place they took their own sweet time to activate the connection. Much more than 48 hours which is the standard.

For the first few days I did not feel any discomfort but then the problems started. Even in the heart of the city the signals were not proper. When I tried an outgoing call I could not make it and when my friends tried contacting me they got messages like ’’Not reachable’’ and ’’Not available’’ and so on. This continued for sometime. When I called customer care about 2-3 times I was assured that they had a slight problem with the network which had been rectified and things would be ok. But to my dismay I realised that it was not set right. I had this problem for more than a month.

I disconnected my connection with them. The moment they received my mail regarding disconnection they cut my outgoing without even intimating me of the same. And not even bothering to find out why I wanted to disconnect. This gave me the feeling that they are not bothered if their customers are happy or not.

One month since this happened I get a call from a manager in Hutch regarding this and he assures me that if I resume the connection service will be very good.
I was amazed at the speed of the reaction!

Overall I would say please don’t take hutch. Having a hutch connection is as good as not having a cell phone.
