Hi,  

i had been a happy customer to Vodafone for many many years. But have to sadly tell that i do not want to use this connection anymore.   I got a call from a Vodafone Sales person asking me
to take another connection with a good STD plan. After listenning to the Tariff plan i decided to go for the connection. I started using this number. However i realized that even after a week the Tariff Plan i requested for was not activated. I immediately raised a complaint in the Jaynagar, Bangalore branch of Vodafone store. There i learnt that the Tariff Plan i was told by the sales person did not exist. I got my number discontinued. The Vodafone personnel in Vodafone store accepted the mistake. However when i asked for some written/email proof that i would not be charged anything for the connection, the personnel said they cannot do that but assured me that i would not be charged.  

After a month after getting the number discontinued, i got a call from the Vodafone billing section asking me to pay the bill for that number. I was shocked. I said i would not pay the bill since i had got the wrong tariff plan and i was not aware of it. Since then i have been getting calls from the Vodafone people asking me to pay the bill. Every time a different person calls and every time i have to explain them the problem and every time they say they will check the problem and get back but nothing happens.   Today i.e. 20th March 2008, i received a call from a Vodafone personnel. I told him the problem, gave him all the numbers whom i had interacted with till now, including the sales person who sold me the wrong plan, gave him the complaint number that i had raised hoping that he would find the solution to this. But just after half an hour after talking to him, my outgoing calls on the present number were barred. I dont know why i am punished for no fault of mine. I feel cheated and fooled.  

After more than 5 years of being loyal to Vodafone i am being kicked out from Vodafone’s network. I am very disappointed by the way Vodafone has handled this situation. Its sad that even in this competitive market of telecom service providers, Vodafone has no value for its customers.

Request readers to ask for written proofs for anything the Vodafone personell promise you. Because Vodafone believes in "Promises are meant to be broken"
