I ordered two pairs of glasses worth Rs. 25000 at Vision Express, Sahakarnagar, Bangalore a group connected to Reliance I believe, in the beginning of June’16.
After the first time they delivered, I discovered the power was wrong in both pairs of glasses.
I informed the manager and also sent a mail to customer service.
They responded by saying they will let me have an eye test again, albeit unwillingly.
To be sure I went to Baptist hospital and got my eyes checked there and lo! They came up with a different power! The optometrist in Vision Express indeed did not know his job.
I went to the Vision Express Store, Sahakarnagar again and they got my eyes tested with an experienced optometrist and I was satisfied. They took back both the glasses saying they will replace the lenses.
The second time round again one pair had the right power and another the wrong power. The manager Mr. Prashanth first insisted they changed the lenses( which I doubt) and then said he will get them tested, as if I am lying. My eyes and eyesight are not a joke.
This time it was the topping on the cake. They took 16 days to change the lenses.
When I wore them they seemed fine except for the fact that while reading the vision seemed blurry again.
I thought I will give sometime, besides I had to go out of town, so if it’s a case of getting used I could give myself the time to get used. But guess what? Evertyime I wear the glasses the ground seems elevated. When I read, the letters are blurry.
So they have not changed the power! IT IS STILL THE WRONG POWER.
To top it another guy Mr. Amit called up to say they will keep changing the lenses for me till I am satisfied. Like I have no other work but to keep going to their store and dropping off the glasses.
And I paid Rs. 25000 for this kind of service!
Also, look at the attitude, “ we will keep changing the lenses”, meaning they have no faith in their own work. They cannot for once say Madam this time we got it right.
Also, the first time they gave me a moldy spectacle case. I had to point out to them that I paid Rs. 25000 I deserve a better case as well.
There is absolutely no professionalism, no integrity, no quality, where Vision Express is concerned
They do not value their own work or time. Do not expect them to value yours or even provide you any service of value.
Please never order you glasses from vision express. They do not know their job and are inept. And they think you have no other work other than going on giving them the wrong powered glasses so that they can keep testing them on your eyes.
