I bought Poly carbonate lens with Anti-reflection, scratch resistant, UV protection plus plus... for the rimless frame. I specifically mentioned there shouldn't be any kind of reflection. They promised it wont.
2 days later in the late evening I received the spectacles and wore it in the shop and suddenly deja vu... told the staff that it is reflecting from the edges and I can feel the light bulbs attached to the lens. She said use it for a day or two and it goes away. What it did not understand her real meaning was that I should get adjusted to the reflections from edges and not that lens will become anti-reflective (though some coating is going to take effect slowly).
I work in a IT company always infront of PC and under lights... got head aches due to reflections, can't walk under light (day or night) and can't drive vehicle especially in the night as lights from vehicles get reflected and accident can happen. Also, so called scratch resistance showed its non-functioning property when it brushed lightly at a round edge of a the office table. One glass had a line mark. All these in 2 days.
Did research on net t find out if I am only one complain of "Eye Ring" but found that atleast 80% of those who use complain it...went back to store and met the manager. He says rimless always reflects. Asked a simple question to him - whether the edges have anti-reflection coating. His answer was plain - NO. Then he had no answer to my question -
How can they claim Anti-reflection lenses when they are actually not for Rimless atleast... asked for edge tints but they don't have it. Asked him to buff the edges (roughen the edges) and gave back spectacles. For scratch he refused to admit that it is the the deficient product but the problem of my use... I explained him that both lenses had brushed the table but only one got scratched but he did not accept the problem at all....
Now, hoping atleast the buffed glasses wont reflect.
To save Rs.500 and having UV protection, I went from Cryzal to VE. I now doubt its claim of UV protection and also lost full money...
I even doubt about the lenses as I feel they are from local manufacturers and these guys cheat by naming is VE. I didn't know till I visited 2nd time to complain that it is reliance company... I hate reliance as I think they are here to cheat....
