Virrudh . Review on Viruddh - TV Serial

I think that in order to hog limelight and ensure central attention on  themselves stars produce serials and smriti irani is no different as with virrudh apart from producing the show she is acting and co-writing the show but by which she has harmed the show.the serial is a nice departure from the usual rape kitchen politics foccused shows with its strong script content but unfortunately the shows viability to viewers is seriously hampered due to miscasting and indifferent camerawork which makes the show appear uncomfortable and boring to viewers.i think smriti should have just produced the show and  had not played the central character and cast someone else as she looks completely unsuitable for the role and her chemistry does not matches with the hero and she  looks older then him and her brand of acting also looks same from her kyunki set otherwise the show is interesting  to watch Virrudh is the  political social family drama which revolves around dj singhania(vikram gokhale) who is a rich and powerful newspaper owner   who believes in making friendship with right  people and also uses his nwspaper as a vendetta tool for his rich friends as a result of which he is constantly at loggerheads with sushant(sushant singh).

A  honest value ladden journalist who also is his daughter  vasudhas(smriti) boyfriend but cannot do anything to him as vasudha is his favouraite daughter who incidentally  also is his illegitimate child out of wedlock as a result of singhanias  rape on   shalini(zarina wahab) 20 years ago .the serial also has subplots of a drunken hate spewing daughter(achint kaur) and jealous and villanous relatives like his brother(bhandari) and his son(chetan hansraj) who are looking to steal his property  which nows looks all set to become the main track of serial

performance

dj singhania-vikram gokhale is good as powerful, manipulative and villanous

vasudha-smriti irani does not suit the role and her acting also looks same

sushant-sushant singh is ok as sushant a journalist

chetan hansraj acts his usual self as a greedy nephew

achint kaur overacts as a sozzled daughter
