I purchased ONIDA split AC from vijay sales, Prabhadevi on 6th April, and amde full payment for the same.
little did I realise then that it was biggest mistake i made. Sales guy was very prompt in telling me that the product will be installed within 3 days. I went back home ...very happy...thinking abt my new purchase.
6th April - Cash counter guy not able to give me a receipt, saying that the computers are down, they cant generate bill. further, he tells me that credit card slip is sufficient. I DEMAND some valid prrof of my payment and purchase. 30K is not chana-singdana. I am given a paltry receipt without any order number to keep.

18th April – I am anyways out of Mumbai for official work, and cannot do anything about the A/C lying at my place un-installed, un-used. Will go to Mumbai on Saturday and take a full refund.

My verdict -
Buy off the shelf products which do not require any Support and Vijay Sales can be a nice place to shop.
BUT .. do not make the mistake of buying things which require them to interact with 3rd party service providers. and products which require installation services. Vijay Sales does not give a damn about what happens to the customer once they have received the money.
Their customer service numbers are not reachable, any damn number will prove useless. main number 24216010 will turn into fixed response machine after 8:30 pm and will not work till 11 am.
any and everyone of their representatives will give u talks. no Action
