I had bought this large size Toshiba frig from Vijay Sales before Dusssehra.This appeared to be the only large sized model readily available at their stores Right from the day after delivery the Frig gave problems and despite numerous phone calls the response from the manufacturer was very slow. Try getting Vijay Sales on their phone lines. Your day will be spent on that The defect was identified as due to the door switch a few days later and the switch replaced- However the problem continued and a few days later Toshiba said that the door is not aligned properly.
Since then they claim to be doing paper work and the frig is not replaced either by Toshiba or Vijay sales. Diwali is now coming and I am without a frig for 3 weeks now. This is to advise all to be very careful of buying from large well known companies not very active in the field even though they may be famous like Toshiba- When it comes to service it is non existent The e-mails to their HQ also go unresponded I would welcome advise on how to deal with these companies if anybody had prior experience with them
