My sincere request to everyone who thinks of visiting K S Hospital, please do not risk your life or your wife's life.
Their USP is'Normal Delivery'. But it should not come at the cost of one's life. Though our experience is of 2014, it still matters and we believe will save someone from their trauma and agony that Dr. Bala Kumari & K S Hospital will cause.
If this can save at least one person, we will be glad.
In 2014, my decided to consult Dr. Bala Kumari for her first pregnancy.
Mar 15m 2015 - My wife delivered our baby(through c sec) in K S Hospital after almost 16 hours of induced pain.
Mar 16, 2014 - My wife developed complication. Renal Failure, Cardiac problem & water accumulation in lungs. She was transferred to Kamakchi and was treated in ICU for 10 days and she recovered later.
Now you may ask, this can happen to anyone. Yes we also believed that we were the unlucky few who had to go through this trauma. By what we found out shattered us. Just a day before, another lady went through the same in K S Hospital. She had 16 hours of labor, after that C Section, kidney failure after a day and cardiac problem.
The reason for all this is sepsis. One hospital, 2 days apart, same life threatening sepsis. This is no coincidence. Dr. Bala Kumari promised us that this was the first such case in her life. A blatant lie. When we confronted Dr. Bala Kumari, she stopped visiting Kamakchi.
Guess what, she wrote the discharge summary in Kamachi Hospital. It is after all true that doctors won't snitch on another doctor. so much for their professional ethics. In the discharge summary, she conveniently missed the sepsis part.
We had written a review in Mouthshut in 2015. Just saw that the review was deleted. If you observe, if someone writes a bad review, immediately, 10 good reviews would appear.
So why am I sharing this now? We are blessed with our second baby. We consulted in a Apollo Karapakkam. There are some enormous gaps in the way Apollo treated my wife and what K S Hospital does.
1) 5 doctors were present in Apollo excluding the Anesthestic. Whereas, in K S Hospital, only Dr. Bala Kumari was present.
2) No post operation care in KS Hospital and when my wife was shivering after delivery, it took them 1 hour to get a blanket
3) No emergency rooms in KS Hospital
4) Baby after birth was not cleared of water in its stomach. only after 8 hours it was cleared. He was vomiting the whole 4 hours after delivery. This has been confirmed by a doctor in KS Hospital
Please do not choose this hospital. Please choose wisely. Low cost and normal delivery cannot be a driving factor to choose such 3rd rated hospital and doctors.
Dr. Shanthi is equally bad as Dr. Bala Kumari. In the name of checking my wife who had a c sec, she pressed her stomach so hard that my wife started crying. Dr. Shanthi's reply was that she thought it was a normal delivery!
I cannot emphasize this anymore. PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOSPITAL. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE DR. BALA KUMARI & DR. SHANTHI.
