Vaastav is a movie about a chawl guy Raghu, who dares to fight and slowly gets merged into the underworld. Primarily, he loves the powers he has and enjoys everyone following him. But the dreams end where
he has to stand alone against the dirty politics. He makes a difference by still following his heart though he knows that he will end up at his funeral. Ultimately, the strong guy loses all his senses and is killed by his mother.
The acting of Junior Dutt is simply brilliant. He has proved that he is just not a Dance-around-trees type of a star, rather a strong actor. The movie balances on his shoulders. The script is beautifully written and the background score triggers emotions. The role of the heroine is just being a wife. Mothers role is quite strong.
The movie touches you the most (despite of having a criminal plot) because of the backdrop of Family atmosphere at the Heros home.
Next version is Kurukshetra (by the same Director), which is yet to be seen....
