VIT University is well-known for its record number of placements and its academic programs. The other most famous thing used in VIT is FFCS(Fully Flexible Credit System). You can always find students who write good reviews about VIT University just to show their gratitude towards the place they study in but reality is something else. VIT intake for B.E/B.Tech itself is approximately 6000 students/year which itself decreases the quality of education there. Many mass recruiting companies come to VIT and recruit the students for mere packages and only a few get decent packages. Faculties in VIT are not at all good as PHD scholars are turned into professors and they do not have any knowledge of the subject they are supposed to teach.
FFCS is the worst thing that happened to VIT, they take pride in telling about it. In FFCS, you have to register for the courses manually i.e VIT does not automatically provide you with the subjects you need to study in the next semester. I got informed by friends that they were not able to register even for 16 credits(lower limit) and do not have any idea about what to do.
The Administration is well organised to run the institute by applying too many restrictions on students especially for girls. Officials are too rude and ignorant. Sports are not given any priority though they organize(bad organisation) sports league to show the outer world that they do believe in complete development of a child. Alumni network is also not specifically good.
