Sewing machine are one which actually changed the vintage mothers to the latest generation. Today u cannot find a heritage family without a sewing machine and if the family does have one then, definitely they might be lazy for sure.
But those days these sewing machines wer most popular among homes and at mini tailoring shops and even the shoe repair shops. Even today many shops have this SD working with them!
My mom purchased this USHA Tailor Sewing device about say 17 yrs ago in Dehradun. Its one the older device we have still operational. Fully made of heavy metal body and sits on the top of a mini wooden block box. The machine also has an compartment for keeping the sewing items like threats and sewing needle and so on. The machine comes with silver carving on it body which makes it look elegant.
The machine actually works very effectively and smoothly. It only required frequent oiling to keep in working for ever and if maintained well, the machine will last of decades. But the only problem becoz of which my mom doest use this machine very frequently now a days is becoz of its "heaviness". Its very bulky and a lean or old age women cannot lift or shift this thing on her own to a comfortable location.
Overall, thou today many light weight and battery operated sewing machine have come up including the hand held craps but still this USHA Tailor Sewing machine are the best.
This Machine proves the proverb - "Old is Gold and always Bold too".
