Untouchable is a novel by Mulk Raj Anand published in 1935. The novel established Anand as one of India's leading English authors.The book was inspired by his aunt's experience when she had a meal with a Muslim woman and was treated as an outcast by his family.this is the truth of the society in which we are living. Our society has has dual face some time it promotes untouchability and some time it opposes.Mulk Raj Anand considers that the caste system can only prevail with the job one carries and the easy way to remove it is to upgrade the work environment and bring dignity to each work.
