Uncle’s Kitchen is a name that is synonymous with good food. All who have stayed in and around Malad in Mumbai would have certainly heard of Uncle’s Kitchen if they haven’t yet eaten from this
famous Chinese joint. The restaurant has currently moved from its original location due to road widening work and has been relocated a few meters down the road. However there is news that it has been moved from there as well. The restaurant (read dine-in) may not be functional but take-away and delivery surely is functional. When the dine-in was functional one was expected to wait for about 30 minutes for a place at ‘rush hour’. Flavour, temperature, portion size and appeal – The food is very tasty and you just might want to go on eating all night. Ambience, music, staff appeal and speed of service. – Not the best but certainly not the worst. A meal for 2 (soups, starters & main course) would cost you between Rs 250/- and 300/-. All in all a value for money place. Non Veg recommendations -> Fish fingers, Chicken lollipop (paisa vasool !!), prawns fried rice, all other chicken preparations(rice n’ noodles) are good. Veg recommendations - Good soups, all the rice n’ noodles preparations.
