The Biggest Problem for People residing near Ashok Nagar and Vadapalani is Traffic Jam at Udhayam complex Junction.
So How Good is this Complex - It has 4 Movie Halls in it - Udhayam, Mini Udhayam,Suriyan and Chandran , all are supposed to be DTS and all are also Supposed to Air conditioned and One finds it mostly crowded and most of movies played there are Hit movies and hence one gets a first impression that it needs to be one of the best complex in Chennai.
The answer is Sad no, it is the worst cine complex at Chennai.
Let me start up now,
Worst Parking space - One needs to be a master in parking / allocation technology to park there.
Worst Management - One can see the employees in their uniform selling Black tickets.
Only few tickets will be sold in Counter , if it is a newly released movie then the black rates skyrockets and one rarely finds any ticket even in advance booking.
Normal rates - Black ticket rates -Sold out Rates
Rs 10 Rs 25- 30
Rs 25 Rs 55-60
Rs 30 Rs 65-75
Rs 35 Rs 80 - 90
Rs 40 Rs 90-100
Rs 45 / Rs 50 - Proportionate minimum double the rate
Worst Sound system - hardly surround speakers functions
Worst a/c - A/c will be switched on during admisssion (to be switched off within few minutes) and during Interval(again to be switched off between few minutes)
Now about cafeteria : Worst snacks/ Soft drinks ( never tasted such a sugar filled Pepsi from Fountain)
Unhygenic environment - don't ever dare to step out of the movie hall during the intermission- if one dares he needs to brave a dense smoke zone to reach the rest room
Rest room - forget about going there.
In a word movie experience was never such unpleasant before Udhayam and do you think an average cinegoer / families will visit this complex again?
I'm happy to watched any movie played there in a pirated VCD of inferior quality than watching a movie at this complex.
