ummmmm..You see I dont quite know whether or not I have liked this film. Now this is a part of me I never knew existed.indecision..of the movie kind.. shame on me.

Okay let me explain and in the process maybe just maybe, light at the end of the tunnel might make my vision clearer.

I loved the promos.. i totally believed that ajay devgan will be a competent Director.Kajol minus her irritating giggliness is an actor i have loved to watch..so many pluses to go see the film.

But then...the first half was a combination of different close ups..half visible kajol, then half of Ajay and half of the cast. I understand the cameraman Aseem bajaj is a whiz and all that but I think he went completely overboard. How can you expect audiences to sympathise with your characters if their faces are never visible as a whole?

The Screenplay and dialogues in the first half was really weak.. a flashback where the older couple Ajay and kajol are seated in a restaurant which never ends? How geekie is that.Dialogues and the continuous use of  say ’ sochna’ and then for the next 10 minutes the dialogue takes off on different applications of it..Mind you this happens over and over again with different words. Ajay i believe wrote the dialogues.. Ajay cool it.. take a leaf out of Gulzar s films.. never a word out of place.

Second half when the ’inspired story from 51 dates’ takes off brings a sigh of relief however temporarily. You see now, that Ajay has the potential to handle emotional scenes and his squeaky wife. Honestly I think Kajol in her earnestness to be a good wife and give her best performance for hubby ended up giving one of her weakest. She just did not connect.. It was so fake.

Songs and their picturisation a big let down.. The budget was humungous... helicopter shots..latest equipments.. a cruise filmed from high above the sky so high like a diamond... why am i taking off on a nursery rhyme? because the juvenile use of such shots was uncalled for.. have Budget must use equipment... was the deal.

The cinematographer it appeared was on a trip doing what he wanted since first time Director Ajay obviously has no hand in the placement of camera and movement of shots. It affected the film badly. So much freedom to the cinematographer will always hamper a product. That is why it is so important for those who wield the dictaphone to be educated in all aspects of film making. But Ajay can only get better!!

Frankly I have liked Ajay the best with rani Mukherji...they have a great chemistry..and Pleeeaassee Ajay go to the dentist and fix your lower set of teeth..I will sponsor it..egawd..its ..umm..unappetising.

On the whole.. feel a bit let down becuse a bad take on 51 dates and Notebook.. Ajay could have done better..like my Maam wrote often in my literature papers..CBB.( could be better)

Would have liked to give it 2.5..
