not going to remind anyone about the Notebook….. I am so used to seeing diluted versions, that in a queer way, I would be shocked senseless if there is an original story.

Story:-

The movie is about two happy lovers, they are happily in love..!
Once married, they are happily married…!
Suddenly Kajol develops Alzheimer and they are still happily in love and are happily married!

Over!!

With this I win the briefest ever written-review award!!!!! (And here you thought I can talk till the cows come home!!)

....Since I have told you the story, I will now tell you the not-so-brief highlights! :D

1. Wonderful Devgan teaches salsa,….. your green and yellow shirt…Wow!
Did you give your costume designer a raise after this brilliant, fabric concoction?

2. Ajay kicks away a cute, little, round boy’s soccer ball. The boy takes to following Ajay. He is always accompanied by dangerous-villain sounding music!
…Silly me! I thought he was your son from an extra-martial affair or maybe he would help you win the lady’s hand or at the very least blackmail you for 50 soccer balls …!

Oh! He was just a cute, little, round boy who follows you with no-reason.

3. Ms. Kajol …ooooh! Sensual, seductive, dance for the Man…And Ajay, can’t hold his control…oooh! What a hot look! Ooooh!.. And then the shimmering white tent of a dress…! Ajay can’t handle the light! Ajay runs to fetch his sun-glasses to continue the dance…!!!

….Atleast I did, I was probably the only one who sat in a Movie Hall with sun-glasses!

4. Now this left me very puzzled, Ms. Kajol in her over-sized polka dotted, orange tent profoundly proclaims they are going to have twins. Er.., I looked and looked, where was the other twin???

(Have you given the raise for the Costume Designer, yet? If not hurry ..The orange, polka dotted tent is unbeatable!!)

5. When the baby is born, Ajay says ”It’s a boy” even without having the doctor tell him. The doctor is confused at Ajay’s right guess and then Ajay explains his wife might forget but her heart still believes in our wish list.

Now I am confused!!!

Here I was mistakenly thinking that XXs and XYs play a part…all it took was the heart to know!
….And the rest of you folks, who think it’s the cranes, wisen-up! It’s the heart!!

6. Dialogues
If I were to edit the “You know something”, the movie would have shrunk to 30 minutes.
And after hearing “You know something” one gazillion times, I still don’t know something!!!

 “Am a poet and I didn’t know that??”
Er., Can I clarify? Sorry, Mr. Devgan you are still not a poet! All that “socho, socho..and “dekho, dekho” and what not, what not…..

Chooooo Chweeeeeeeeeeeet!

Get Real! Mr. Devgan, did you actually think I would say that???

The movie does have its moments. The couples grow on the audience and the second half carries heaviness, leaving one a little sad and …a little uncomfortable!!

The pairs accompanying the lead actors are fun, Vicky and Natasha are young, good looking couple with crisp lines. Reema and Nikhil are slightly older couple, who perennially fight…, are still very endearing in their silliness. These excellent support crew hold the movie together.
