Let me make it clear...you know something...........i did not like the film. you know something.......I had respect for Ajay Devgan after the powerful performances in Company and Hum Dil Dey Chuke Sanam.

But this film provoked such strong feelings that after months of  reading reviews i had to join just to be able to put in my opinion.

"YOU KNOW SOMETHING" This film is an insult to

1. People with dark skin...just see the difference between Kajol’s face colour and her neck colour. Why does she need to look white in the face yet quite clealry she is very dark. She should be proud of her colour.

2. People who have a first born as a girl. The dialogues: "ladka hoa hai...itna confidence hai( I am so confident of my love that it has to be a boy) I am amazed that the censor board of India allowed that since there is I beleieve against the crimes against the female child in India.

3. People who care for the mentally disabled. This films casts a very poor light on some of the tough decisions faced by loving members of a handicapped person. Despite your best efforts, caring for a mentally disturbed person is a challenge.

4. This film is an insult to the medical profession which is cast in the light of almost a villain. The doctor’s advice is attacked by a drunk friend, hum apni bhabi ko asylum nahin bhejain gay. She promptly proves the doctor right by almost killing her baby in the next few scenes.

5. This film is an insult to the indian culture per se because almost in every scene, frame or shot, there is alcohol involved. In HUGE amounts too. If they are not actually drinking they are talking of liquer (mis-pronounced likor) or of talking of going to get a drink to do maa behn ek! Every meeting encounter party is inundated with drink. It is also an insult to Indian cultural sensibilties to tout the film as a family entertainer yet in the very beginning the club which the actors fall in love with is set out as a cheap pole dancing bars with girls dispalyign their underwear with zeal. Where in an Indian society do ppl go to such bars where women dance in their panties with their families. And what of the unsuspecting families who mistakenly take their daughters to see such behaviour.

6 This film is an insult to great movies like the Notebook and Fifty First Dates. Ajay Devgan ought to be sued for ripping the heart and soul out of sensitive films like this.

7. This film’s lead actress is an insult to womanly emotions. Kajol’s hysterionics, as someone quite rightly said, were like a screaming banshee. Over the top hyterionics do not make a good performance. Kajol has to be watched to be believed in the 2 Koffee with Karans that she appeared in to witness her over the top nature. She makes diginty and poise seem like outdated words.

8. This film to me epitomises all that is going wrong with Hindi Cinema. The ageing actors and actresses need to go to make room for fresher talent.

And finally Kajol ...please cover those fat arms of yours. I know you could easily win the worst dressed actress award but even at your father’s funeral? Sleeveless does noto suit your girl. Cover it up and a little less conversation perhaps?
