Watched this movie last weekend and I must say Devgan, the director has done a real good job consdering this was his first directorial venture.
Good thing is that bollywood directors these days are experimenting with plots beyond those typical romance and family dramas. Last year we saw Chakde, Taare Zameen Per and now this U, Me aur Hum which is having a very fresh and different kind of concept as per bollywood standards. Though lots have been taken by from hollywood movie "the notebook" but still its worth watching this movie once.
Strory is about Ajay (Ajay Devgan) & Piya (Kajol) who met on a ship, fell in love and got married. And then the series of problems start. I would not like to write the story as it would sort of spoil the whole fun of watching it first time. The second half of the movie beautfully shows the way a relationship can be tackled if you have the willingness to work on the same.
Kajol as usual has acted superbly and both Ajay and Kajol looked wonderful as on-screen copules. I was esp. impressed with the fact that this is Ajay Devgan’s first directorial venture and he has done all justice to the same. Some of the scenes like "baby left in bathtub" and "Ajay’s remorse at restaurant" are too good and have been represented in a very sensitive way.
Music is ok but title track is quite good. Overall a good movie and worth watching once esp. for married couples.
