way too sappy, unreal, stretches like a chewinggum

Yes I said U Me aur Rum coz being drunk is the only way you could sit through this supremely inane movie.

With a cruise as a background the movie starts with how Ajay Devgan(Ajay, a Psychiatrist)
tries to woo Kajol Devgan(Piya, a waitress on that cruise). Except for one joke I don’t think I laughed on the highly stupid jokes in the first half, and I do have a good sense of humor.
Ajay Devgan looks horrid in the clothes that he is wearing, I mentioned just the clothes coz well he can’t do much about his looks.Kajol has I have no idea how many layers of makeup on her face to hide her wrinkles which show neways when she smiles. She would have looked quite ok even without the pop put on her. And you want to push Ajay Devgan into the water when he is flirting with Kajol, heavens know what made her fall for him.
Anyway so she does fall for him and because this is a movie she also marries him. Now you’re done and through with the first half.

Come second half and by then you have realised that here you have a very bollywood’ish perfect couple, will do all to please the other person and your typical mills and boons romance. Now because all has been happy in teh first half the second half has to be sad so Kajol is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 28 yes. Devasted as Ajay and the couple’s friends are they are supportive of Kajol and take great care of her.
The second half of the movie is actually scary and unreal. At the age of 28 the lady is shown at a later stage of Alzheimer’s. I think they just looked up what Alzheimer’s means and went ahead and made the movie without looking into the facts and figures.
And what I fail to understand is that when they make movies on illnesses about which, atleast people in India have not much knowledge about why do they make they mislead the audience ? I am here clubbing crappy movies such as 15 Park Avenue and Woh Lamhe and now this inane U, Me aur Hum.
The movie then shows how Ajay deals with the situation at hand. And after some more scaring, boring, annoying, sleepy moments the movie finally comes to an end.

I would say that the movie shows a lot of negativity. Why oh why do you have to make movies about mental illnesses, about which no research is done and make a whole damn movie out of it ? They want to make supposedly real movies so they pick up a real topic and go all weird in dealing with it.

Watch the movie if you want to act some fine acting. That is all that the movie is about. In a hall of about 200 people on the first day I saw 20% people leave before the movie ended and heard some more jeering at the movie.
