After much await, finally got to

witness this flick. U Me aur Hum was one of the most anticipated movies this year particularly after Aamir’s directorial venture a few months back.

          

Ajay Devgan, was critically acclaimed and doing really well as an Actor, and the Director Ajay devgan is no different. One thing that stays common between the Actor Ajay and the Director Ajay is SINCERITY towards his work.

          

The movie starts with an Old man accepting a challenge to his son to woo a lady around. In order to Woo her, he starts telling the story of Nikhil n Reena ( Sumit Raghavan and Divya Dutta ), Vicky and Natasha ( karan Khanna and Isha Sherwani ) and Ajay and Pia ( Ajay and Kajol ) ...

          

The first meeting, the DHAKADTA dil, the proposal, the book of possibilities and then the lies are very very aptly dealt with. The camera movements that Ajay directed Aseem Bajaj for, were well crafted.

          

                    
Then comes a shocking turn, drving down the street to his Home, Ajay is about to bang his car into someone and its none other than, Pia. Ajay and his 2 friends in the car are shocked by what they see and that is the moment when the disease in Kajol comes to the forefront.

          

                    
The disease goes on increasing with every passing day only making it diffcult for Ajay to deal with the forgetful wife. The level of frustration rises so much that one day Ajay decided to leave Pia at the Cardian care house, which otherwise he always was against it and adviced the same to his patient’s escorts as well. But the truble and the pain actually turn him so much that he decided to leave her, but only away from home, not away from heart.

          

                    
One fine day in the conversation, Ajay realises that its not just about him, Its about U me aur hum, and decided to gt Pia back home.

Scenes

          

There are many scenes in the narrative which stand out. FIrst of all when Ajay reveals the truth to Kajol, both of them have acted brilliantly it that one.

          

Just before the interval, the scene which brings Alzhiemer in Kajol to the forefront is again one of the best scenes of the film.

          

                    
Second half deals with more scenes which are emotionally striking.

          

Scenes which stood out are

          

- the family gathering after the child is born and the way kajol talks about aborting the child.

          

- The scene in which the child drowns. Even the DOG has performed brilliantly.

          

- Ajay Leaving Kajol at the asylum.

          

- His conversation with his friends at the bar and the departed lovers getting one.

          

- Ajay going to get Kajol back from the Asylum.

          

                    
Music - As well all know the music is a big hit and it has been fit into the movie very very well. No song looks out of place but, Dhakda and Jee Le specially fit very well and jee le has been picturised very well with the help of helicam.

          

                    
Performances

          

Ajay Devgan gives a striking performance, one again ensuring that he is one of the best actors we have in the business today. In the first half where he is good as the wooing lover the second half we get to see the best of him. Particularly the last scene, where he cries in front of Kajol and says " Arre Yaar Galti ho gayi na " is just too wicked.

Kajol - The best actress in bollywood today, once again gives a smashing performance. Here she is better than she was in Fanna and in Fanaa she was 5/5 so u can get what she is all about in this movie

Sumit Raghavan - I had seen a lot of him is TV series Sarabhai VS Sarabhai and Akela, and he wass impressive. Here the story isnt different. Great perfromance by him too 4/5

          

Rst of the cast including a cameo by Sachin Khedekar have done well in the responsibilities entrusted to them.

          

                    
Direction: All the reviews till now have talked about the direction, and yes all of them are right. Ajay, after Aamir has come as a masterstroke director who knows what he wants from his actors and the crew. The story that he has picked needed a lot of pamper and care and Ajay has definitely deftly dealt with it. A great performance from the Direction point of view as well. The movie belongs to Ajay Veeru Devgan more than anyone else.

          

                    
Over all - A Must watch for all the people out there in love, and even those who arent in love.
