I am a great lover of old Hindi songs…but mushkil hai to list it to 20…and to be fair I have to
expand my list…so have categorised it…20 sad songs (old), 20 romantic / happy songs (old)…and 10 new (very new or relatively new) songs…so here goes…sorry : (

4) Mohabbat Aisi Dhadkan – Anarkali ~ Lata - About the supreme power of love… and how it should not be explained or told – but understood…
5) Aapki aankhon me – Ghar ~ Again a very romantic song…my favourite line “aapki khamoshiyan hi aapki awaaz hai”
6) Tera Mera Pyar Amar – Asli Naqli ~ Very beautiful melody…Sadhna looks very pretty in the song…
7) Baiyan na dharo – Dastak ~ Lovely music…Very well sung by (who else…) Lata
8) Beqarar Karke Humein – Movie name ? ~ Hemant Kumar…very nice music…nice lyrics
9) Ehsaan Tera Hoga – Junglee ~ Hard to imagine Shammi Kapoor singing this…but very nice way to confess one’s love na?
10) Khilte hain gul yahaan – Sharmilee? ~ Kishore Kumar...and I think Shashi Kapoor looks nice in the song…never like him otherwise…
11) Choudvein Ka Chaand Ho ~ A compliment to any lady!!!
12) Rim Jhim Gire Saawan - Manzil ~ Lovely music…
13) Jeevan Se Bhari - Safar ~ Lovely lyrics…again…a compliment to women !
14) Kahin Duur Jab Din Dhal Jaaye – Anand ~ Love this more for its lyrics than anything…Hemant Kumar sang this damn well…
15) Naino Me Badra Chhaye – Mera Saaya ~ Classical type…Lata again does magic…

17) Thandi Hawa Kali Ghata - Mr. & Mrs. 55 ~ Very sweet song…nicely sung by Geeta Dutt…Madhubala looks damn cute in the song
18) Loote koi man ka nagar - Abhimaan ~ Nice music…all songs in the movie are nice…but I like this one best…
19) Chupke Chupke Chal Ri Purvaiya – Chupke Chupke ~ Very nice song…from a very nice movie

4) Jhonka Hawa Ka - HDDCS ~ Haunting melody…lovely lyrics…especially the way it ends “kya tum mere in sab sawaalon ka kuch to jawaab dogi na?”
5) Ek ladki ko dekha to – 1942 A Love Story ~ This is a song any girl would love to be sung to her…damn good lyrics by Javed Akhtar…picturised very nicely also…
6) Dil chahta hai – DCH ~ More because of the movie…and the liveliness in the song
7) Tadap Tadap - HDDCS ~ KK sung this very well…lyrics are also good…
8) Mujhe Raat Din – Sangharsh ~ Nice music…good lyrics…very well sung by Sonu
9) Parineeta – Raat hamari to ~ Very nice melody…lovely lyrics…Chitra has sung this very nicely…soothing voice
10) Ae Kash Ke Hum Hosh Mein Ab Aane Na Paaye - Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa ~ Sweet song…Shahrukh’s expressions convey the lyrics very well…
