SPB - a stunning singer ever known. Has sung more than 40000 songs. A fantastic singer, a good music director, an actor, a producer also.
An interesting thing about Rajini and SPB is that, in nearly all of Rajini's movies, except a very very few, the first intro song for Rajini will be voiced by SPB sir only. An exception is Baba, which SPB sang the song "Baba Kichu tha", and the intro songs was performed by Shankar Mahadevan.

sundari kannal oru sethi fromThalapathy. its a milestone movie for Ilayaraja, Rajini kanth and manirathnam. Infact, a wonderful combination in tamil musical arena is Ilayraja - SPB. one of the fabulous and my favorite is this song. he has sung it along with S. Janaki
Mandram vantha thendraluku from Mouna Ragam, again a best combination from Ilayaraja and SPB. its also a Manirathnam movie. A fabulous one. I cant express abt the song. its that much fantastic.
Ragangal Pathinaru from Thillu Mullu. its from the composition of MS Viswanathan. no can beat SPB sir in this song. Whenever I sit and work in my home PC, my playlist will surely have this song.
Enna Kanavillaye Netrodu from Kathal Desam. Its from Rahman. Another fabulous compostion Rahman - SPB. he sang the song along with Rafee and OS Arun.
Thanga thamarai mahale from Minsara Kanavu which bagged him a National Award. this is from Rahman. From this song only I just found that he is the best in prouncing the Thamizh letters "LA", "ZHA" exactly.

Some other interesting things about SPB are he born in Nellore in Andra Pradesh and not a tamil native. he has been debuted as a film singer for a telugu film. he has sung more than 40000 songs in around 5 indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, hinid, kannada and malayalam. its a guinnes record.
He has been given 6 national awards, many state awards, Padma Shri Award, Kalaimamani award from Tamil Nadu state govt, and so many honors.
he has also produed some movies, acted in some movies and scored music for movies like Sigaram, Unnai Saranadainthen, which he produced also and some other movies in Telug, Kannada and Hindi.
