I wanted to write a review on Lata Mangeshkar yesterday on her birthday(which one is immaterial.)but could not get time unfortunately, thatswhy writing today.
I have no words to explain how enchanting and melodious her voice is, so I will only enumerate 20 songs sung by her along with movie's name if I know because no matter how I explain my feelings for those songs, they will fall short.
1.Kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho, kya kehna hai, kya sunna hai, tumko pata hai, mujhko pata hai, samay ka yeh pal tham sa gaya hai, aur is pal mein koi nahin hai, bas ek tum ho, bas ek main hoon, kuch na kaho, kuch bhi na kaho . from 1942 A LOVE STORY.I have no idea if this song was recorded well and there was any technical problem, but there seems to be sound of labored breath coming or may be it was done intentionally as it was a sad song, but her voice remains as meticulous and clear as always.
2.Rajnigandha phool tumhare.from RAJNIGANDHA.The voice suits Vidya Sinha as impeccably as good it can be.
3.Aap ki aankhon mein kuch mehke hue se raaj hain, aap se bhi khoobsoorat aap ke andaj hain.
4.Kora kagaz tha yeh man mera, likh liya nam is pe tera.
5.Tum aa gaye ho, noor aa gaya hai, nahin to chiragon se lau ja rahi thi, jeene ki tumse wajah mil gayi hai, badi bewajah zindagi ja rahi thi.from AANDHI.This is one of my favorite song.
6.Dekha ek khwab to yeh silsile hue, door tak nigahon mein hain gul khile hue.from SILSILA.
7.Yeh kahan aa gaye hum.yuun hi saath chalte chalte.from SILSILA.
8.Phir chidi raat baat phoolon ki, raat hai ya baarat phoolon ki.from BAZAAR.
9.Sun Sahiba sun, pyar ki dhun, maine tujhe chun liya, tu bhi mujhe chun.from RAM TERI GANGA MAILI.I like one of its line very much.koi hasina pehle kadam badati nahin, majboor dil se na ho to paas aati nahin.
10.Aajkal paon zameen par nahin padte mere, bolo dekha hai kabhi tumne mujhe udte hue.
11.Dushman na kare dost ne woh kam kiya hai, umr bhar ka gham humein inam diya hain.from AAKHIR KYON.
12.Is mod se jaate hain, kuch sust kadam raste, kuch tej kadam rahein, pathar ki haveli.from AANDHI.

There are scores and scores of songs sung by her, if I keep on writing, I will skip the limited word limit, but without writing one blockbuster song from yesteryears, this review cannot be complete, that is Pyar kiya to darna kya, pyar kiya koi chori nahin ki, chup chup aahein bharna kya.from MUGHAL-E-AZAM.
There are few things about Lata Mangeshkar which few people know-
She has acted in at least eight films, both Hindi and Marathi.
ADORA has launched its swaranjali collectionin respect to Lata Mangeshkar, all the designs of jewellery are designed by Lata herself, all of them contain diamond.
She designs her sarees herself and then orders for their making.
She and her sister Asha Bhonsle live in same building complex situated adjacent to Peddar Road where a flyover construction is being mooted and if it is made, anyone can have a handshake with Lata Mangeshkar on her balcony if she is caught sipping coffee one fine morning!She has apparently opposed the construction.
