I am pretty notorious for the fact that I cannot resist most of the music forms and my favourite list would include thousands of songs from Malayalam to Hindi to English and to pick a few is avery strenous task; even if the criteria is narrowed down to just Hindi Songs.... But yes I will try although it doesnt necessarily mean these are my most favourite songs... well these are my favourites but a very few of them....So here goes....

1) Hum hain Iss pal Yahan........

Beautiful song... yet more beautiful https://lyrics. Who cannot feel the love and passion in the song. Yet there runs a thread of sadness in that song.... just a subtle hint which rises from the pain of love and its beauty adds to the already beautiful song. But even then I have to agree Udit Narayan doesnt do justice to the song. I agree Udit is a wonderful singer but not for such a smooth number, then again, Madhushree is brilliant with her wonderful voice and who can criticise a marvellouscomposition of A.R Rahman?

2) Kasam Ki Kasam

One of the most sick movies I have seen.... main prem ki deewani hoon... but the music in the movie was breathtakingly gorgeous. Kasam Ki Kasam especially the second stanza coupled with its lyrics is a treal to any music lover.... chithra is alluringwith her voice that just makes you lose yourself in it.....

3) Aadat (Jal)

I am not talking about the soundtrack from Kalyug but the original album version from Jal which has that feeling of bieng created by the desperation that his loved one is not nearhim..... It is one song I should say attracts me weirdely towards it....

4) Tu hi Re ... (Bombay)

Name one person whocan sincerely say that this song is not among their favourites list. Although it brings you to tears, everytime you hear it, its hard to resist the magic of themaestro, A.R Rahman

5) Mere haath mein(Fanaa)

Finallya break from the melancholy.... yes thebeautiful song filled with romance and feelings unexplainable... I have not seen the movie nor have I seen the picturisation but the song is brilliant onits own with the lyrics that add life to them

6) Mumma meri Maa(Dasvidaniya)

I dont have to sayanything more, the simple yet meaningful lines with merely complicated lines coupled by the strumming of the guitar and the bright faces on screen make it aperfect watch... oh yes and a perfect gift for your mom....

Begdi kismat bhi sawanr jaayegi

Zindagi tarane khushi ke gayegi

Tere hote kiska dar

Tu duawon ka hai ghar

7) Maa (taare zameen par)

Bheed Mein Yun Na Chodo Mujhe

Ghar Laut Ke Bhi Aa Naa Paoon Maa

Bhej Na Itna Door Mujkko Tu

Yaad Bhi Tujhko Aa Naa Paoon Maa

Kya Itna Bura Hoon Main Maa

Kya Itna Bura Meri Maa

Whose heart doesnt ache when you listen to these lines ...oh mine did and I just love this song and Ishaan is someone who will always remain in my heart.....

8) Pathron ke bane (merekhwabon mein jo aaye)

I dont know whether anyone has evenever heard this song...but if you havent listen to this song – atleast once. Not for the music but for the https://lyrics.... the lyrics is what attracted me to this song and whenever I hear the lines....

Koi to samjhaaye in logon ko jo aksar apne halat pe rote hain... chaaron taraf deewarein hain...to hone do....deewaron mein darwaaze bhi hote hain.....

I just get inspired and I feel asnothing is impossible in this life.....

9) Saare Sapne ------Asha Bhosle

A song about, love, separation and reunion... whocan forget the song, its lines and the cuties that completed the song?

10) Lazy lamhe

The song’s got everything... beat, akind of sexiness and a carefree tone that makes it beautiful while you are justchilling out.... doing nothing..... even move around to the tune if you feellike it....

11) Hain Junoon (New York)

K K has done wonders .... and the songreminds you of the friends and the good time you have had...period.

12) Mere Sang (New York)

The lyrics are beautiful and it can soothe and mean any broken heart with a yet more powerful music composition

13)Tujh mein rab dikhtahai (Rab ne bana di jodi)

I pray for such a movie to be made never again but this song is straight from the heart with practically no western interventions which make it just beautiful..... the lyrics .... nothingneed to be said more than the title itself...tujh mein rab dikhta hai.... itsnot just romantic but far beyond the shallowness of every heart... (I am not talking about the movie btw, this comment applies only to the above mentioned song

14) Do dil mil rahehain.....(Pardes)

Just a mild strum on the guitar, and a smooth voice singing about his heart, his love in a way that you might actuallyclose your eyes and smile and stay that way until the song fades away.....

15)Jhoka hawaka (Hum Dil de chuke sanam)

Sad but beautiful song..... Not so much takenby the video but the music has got a haunting feeling to it which makes itstriking...

16) Teri Ore (Singh IsKing)

It is so romantic that you just cant avoid this song...period J

17)Mohabbat Aapse(AA dekhen Zara)

Just abeautiful simple song.

18) Rabba(Musafir)

Another haunting sad song that makes me wanna cry by the way I am actually mentioning the sukhwinder version....

19) Haan tuhain (jannat)

When in love, the other person just happens to be your everything..... thats what the song is about....

20) LambiJudaai(Jannat)

Another beautiful number from the Emraan khan movie jannat
